At San Diego Defenders Forfeiture Law Firm, we get a LOT of calls from people who want to get their car back from CBP after it is seized. Then there are some that called us months earlier for information. Then they file a Petition that is REJECTED 5 months later and scream for help! Or they have filed a Petition, and CBP Customs FP&F has not responded, and it has been 7 months, 9 months, it varies, but they have not heard a word from Border Patrol. There is a real problem filing a petition because there is NO time limit on how long CBP and U.S Customs can take! We are not telling you that you must hire us, but it is the smart thing to do. We have the ability to invoke a 90-day limit for the United States Attorney to make a deal with San Diego Defenders’ Lawyer or file. In the hundreds of cases we have handled over the years, the United States Attorney assigned to the case has made a deal with our Forfeiture Law Firm within 90 days. There are, of course, a lot more details to discuss when you call us. However, the most important thing is getting an agreement to get your vehicle back within 90 days, and that is what makes our clients happy. Feel free to read our client reviews and then call us at (619) 258-8888, and we would be happy to help you before it becomes a real problem!
I loaned my sentri car to a fellow animal rescue person and it was seized on february 5th by cbp when he crossed into the U.S. from mexico at San Ysidro with a passenger that had illegal paperwork.
I do not know how to find out what the towing and storage charges are but will not be able to afford it if I am forced to wait the 30-60 days they “require”.
If I have any alternatives and enlist your help can you give me an estimate for your legal fees….
thank you
