Your license will be returned to you at the end of the suspension if you pay a $125 reissue fee to the DMV and you file proof of financial responsibility. The length of your suspension depends on the number of times you have been stopped for a DUI and if you refused to take a chemical test. If it is determined that there is not a basis for the suspension or revocation, your driver license will be issued or returned to you at that time.
You may be able to keep your license if you contact a DUI lawyer within 10 days of your DUI arrest. A DUI lawyer can request a DMV hearing that may save your license from being suspended.
