If you paid a bail bondsmen to bail you out any money you will not receive a refund of any kind.
If you or someone or a friend paid the entire bail, once the case is over the court exonerates the bail. Exoneration takes place in several ways:
- The case is concluded;
- You plead guilty, were found guilty, were found innocent or entered a plea deal.
If you posted cash bail and suffer a conviction that includes a fine and/or restitution your bail will be applied towards those penalties.
